Over 400 of our managers are also minorities. The results speak for themselves: over 65% of our employees at the casino are minorities, with 35% Black or African-American employees, and over 16% Asian. In project operations, we crafted a strict Diversity and Inclusion Policy, and made inclusiveness in hiring a top priority for our team. In 2011, we were awarded the “Bridging the Gap” Award for Key Partnership/Strategic Alliance by the Great Baltimore Committee, in recognition of our partnerships with minority-owned businesses during the construction phase of Live! Casino Maryland. We also achieved over 35% participation by MBE/WBE’s in overall project construction. We made history with the construction of Live! Casino Maryland, becoming the first company to construct a major casino in the United States using a minority-owned firm as the general contractor.
